Marketing Day 2014

The marketing day.  It is the gathering of all student enrolled in Business Administration major in Marketing Management.

It is another year to celebrate the camaraderie and oneness of Junior Marketer’s Association with the theme “Your Culture is your Brand”.
The event was happened on the 16th day of February.  The program started in the morning with the ball games, mind games, and product innovation.  The team composed of per year level.

The search for Mr. & Ms. Marketing Jewel 2014, singing contest, and pop dance was the afternoon event. In the evening, the venue was occupied with the black and white (the concept).

It is quite difficult for me to join some extracurricular activities in school because of the conflict schedule on my work. But this time I am the lucky one..lol!. It is because the event was fall on my day-off and I was excited to join the said event.

My view about the theme “Your Culture is Your Brand” is that we Filipino should patronize our own products. In this way, we are not just only helping our economy but we can show to the world that we have products that we can proud of and it could bring into the international market.

Fun and thrill, the experienced I never forget.

Marketers let’s get acquainted again next year.

Career Plan

To be a successful man is the phrase that we always answered since in our childhood times. It is always been our answer when we asked what we want to be in the future. In what field we are going to be successful?

As of now we are still on the process of creating and molding our self because we are still studying and whatever we learned and experience will be what we are in the future. According to the saying Life is what we make it. Indeed.
When I was at the young age, I wanted to be a doctor or a teacher.  But due to financial constraints and some unwanted situation, those old dreams did not realize. Instead, I studied a technical course. On the other hand, those lessons learned I used it I my present job.  I am now connected to wholesale and retail business establishment. I can say that it was a God will to be a part the company that cares for the welfare of the employee.  To be a regular employee of the said company is not enough for me, yet I considered this as the stepping stone for my success. This is the reason why I am motivated to finish my bachelor’s degree because I am aiming for a promotion and higher position in the company that presently I am connected with.

Now, I am also looking forward to have a sideline business and In the future I will manage it.

my journey

I started my education program at the age of four. The chapel in our purok was our school during my kinder 1 and kinder 2 at Nagas, Tambongon, Pantukan, ComVal. I spend my elementary grade at the same place, Nagas Elementary School. I graduated on the year 1998 with an honor. During the elementary years I was active in any extracurricular activities in our school. I became a part of the Student Body Organization as councilor, a delegate of Boy Scout of the Philippines Regional Scouting, a folk dancer and poster maker. My secondary level was at the same Barangay at Tambongon National High School, Tambongon, Pantukan, ComVal. There, I also part of the Supreme Student Council as Senator from first year up to 4th year. I was an active of any extracurricular activities. I received the recognition as the Second Honorable Mention during our graduation on 2002.

To go into a tertiary level is quite hard for us because of financial constraints. My dreams to become a successful man someday motivated me to do some actions to pursue those dreams.  I worked as a houseboy; I did all the household chores all day and during night I went to school. I finished my associate degree in Computer Programming at Computer Innovation Center, Inc. Tagum City. The same with my elementary and secondary years, I was also active in any extracurricular activities in the institution. I was a part of THE LINK the school paper and I was a President of Student Programmers Club.  I still managed my time well in both work and school. I was awarded the Organizational Service Award and Academic Achievement Award during our graduation in the year 2004.

At the age of 18, I started to work in a big establishment.  My first job was in JS Gaisano as Baggage Attendant for a five months contract and that was in July to December 2004. To earn a bigger salary, I applied in NCCC Mall Tagum. To my fortune, I was hired as sales associate at School and Office Supplies Department for a five months contract from July to December 2005. A months later after that contract, I was hired as a promodiser of Shining East Marketing Corporation at the same department of NCCC Departmentstore. I was connected in that company almost one year and a half. During that period, I decided to go to college. I enrolled BSBA major in Marketing Management at UM Tagum College. A bigger opportunity offered to me and that was why I spent one semester only during that period. I resigned as promodiser because NCCC Department Store hired me as Inventory Clerk and I need to focus on my work during my probationary period.

There were a several times that I was on and off in schooling due to some unwanted circumstances in our family. I need to help my parents to support my brother and sister that are also in college. But, a hunger for knowledge motivated me to enroll again. Later on, I decided to prioritize myself and I enrolled again. But, on school year 2011-2012, I transferred to St. Thomas More School of Law and Business situated at Doctolero Avenue, Tagum City with the same program because there I sent my sister in college. Considering the lowest tuition fee they are offered and also it is not too far from my work place. On the school year 2012-2013 I enrolled back to UM Tagum College because my subjects were not credited in STMS.

Presently, I’m on a 3rd year level now and at the same time I am currently working at NCCC Department Store.
